Job Order: Senior Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation practice in their Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment, with a strong background in litigation and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Manage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and trial dates.
- Coordinate scheduling with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
- File legal documents electronically and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files.
- Draft routine correspondence and legal documents from templates and attorney instructions.
- Track litigation deadlines and assist with docket management.
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications and maintain professional client interactions.
- Assist with trial preparation, deposition coordination, and document production as needed.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant supporting litigation attorneys.
- Prior experience in civil litigation; insurance defense experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document formatting.
- Experience with court filings, docketing, and litigation procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously.
- Familiarity with legal case management and document management systems.
- Trial preparation and deposition scheduling experience.
- Strong understanding of litigation workflows and court procedures.
